Quader's mother passes away

Begum Fazilatunnesa, mother of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, died at a Dhaka hospital last night. She was 92.

Fazilatunnesa was undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.

She left behind her six daughters, four sons and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held after the Zohr prayers today on the premises of Government Mujib College in Companyganj, Noakhali.

Later, she will be buried at her family graveyard in Companyganj area, said an Awami League press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family of Obaidul Quader, also general secretary of the ruling AL.
