Prisoner dies at MMCH

A prisoner serving life-term imprisonment died while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased is Abdul Quddus, 59, of Trishal.

He was sentenced to jail in a murder case in 2001, said Shah Rafiqul Islam, jailer of Mymensingh Central Jail.

He was suffering from old age complications and was admitted to the hospital's prison cell on May 29, he said. The body was handed over to the family members.
