Owner killed inside own shop

A medicine shop owner was killed inside his shop in the capital's Pallabi area early yesterday.

Police said a youth entering into Medicare Pharmacy at Avenue-5 around 12:45am shot Jahidul Islam Rasel, 41, in his head and left immediately.

Rasel was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased's father Abdul Mannan, a joint-secretary of ward-3 unit BNP, is a land broker. Police suspect that he might have been killed over his father's previous enmity.
