Obituary

Sheikh Mohammad Farid, a Liberation War organiser and Thakurgaon Nagorik Committee president, died due to old-age complications at his Hazipara residence in Thakurgaon municipality yesterday. He was 82.

He left behind his wife, three sons and a daughter.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held on Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School premises today at 10:00am and he will be buried in Munshipara graveyard.

Leaders of different political parties, cultural and social organisations mourned his death.
