Obituary

Zahid Jasim died of a cardiac arrest in Mi-nneapolis, Minnesota, in the US on October 1. He was 40.

Zahid was the eldest son of Maj (retd) Jasim Uddin, president of Bangladesh Cold Storage Association and owner of Meghna Multipurpose Himagar and Meghna Packaging.

He left behind his wife, parents, two siblings and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Jamaica Muslim Centre in the US. His body will arive in Dhaka today, family sources said.

His second namaz-e-janaza will be held after Zohr prayers at Allahu Mosque at Dhaka Cantonment.

He will be buried in Banani army graveyard.
