Workshop on journalism at SUB
Speakers at a workshop on Thursday urged young journalists to embrace new technologies, which they said have phenomenally changed journalism.
Aharar Hossain, senior broadcast journalist of BBC World Service, said that unlike before, people now get news instantly from online platforms, says a press release.
Because of the changing habits of consumers, media outlets are changing themselves too, he said. “Many of BBC stories are sourced from Facebook today,” he added.
The workshop, “Journalism in New Era”, was organised by the journalism communication and media studies department at State University of Bangladesh (SUB).
