Woman found dead in Ctg

Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman with her hands and legs tied in Raozan upazila of Chattogram yesterday.

The body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy, said Inspector Kazi Masud Ibn Anwar of Purba Guzara Investigation Centre under Raozan Police Station.

Locals spotted a box under the culvert wrapped with a bed sheet and tape. Suspicious of what might be inside, they called police.

On information from locals, police rushed to the spot, opened the box and found a female's body inside it, Inspector Masud said.

The body bore multiple marks of injury and a rope was also tied around her neck, he also said, adding she was killed and her body dumped in a box under the culvert.

A case was filed in this regard accusing unidentified persons. Police is trying to identify the killers.
