Victoria College rallies for justice

Students of Cumilla Victoria College yesterday brought out a procession on college premises and held a rally demanding justice, on the third death anniversary of Sohagi Jahan Tonu.

Tonu was a student of history and member of Cumilla Victoria College Theatre. She was raped and murdered inside Cumilla cantonment on this day in 2016, but no one has been arrested in connection with the crime yet.

During the rally, students expressed their dissatisfaction about the delay in the investigation process.

Prof Md Nurul Islam, head of history department, hoped that the criminals will be identified and punished as soon as possible.

The college theatre group arranged special prayers.
