Two toddlers drown in water tank

Two toddlers died in the capital's Mohammadpur last evening, after falling into a water tank while playing.

They are three-year old Habib, son of Mostafa; and three-and-half-year old Maria, daughter of Moni Mridha.

They fell into the tank at Dhaka Udyan area while they were playing nearby, Officer-in-Charge Jamal Uddin Mir of Mohammadpur Police Station told The Daily Star.

Police recovered the bodies around 8pm and rushed them to Shyamoli Children's Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
