Sylhet ACP dies falling off building
A top police official died this afternoon after he fell from the roof of a building at Caradighir Par area in Sylhet city.
The deceased was Assistant Commissioner Juber Ahmed of the Detective Branch of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), reports our Sylhet correpondent.
Rokeya Begum, inspector (investigation) and acting officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said that he died at a private hospital after he fell from the roof of a four-storey building.
Abdul Muhit Jabed, councillor of ward-16 of Sylhet City Corporation, said, “Juber was flying kite on the rooftop of his residence at around 5:00pm when he slipped off and fell from the roof.”
“He was critically injured and was rushed to nearby Mount Adora Hospital where doctors declared him dead,” Jabed added.
