Sinha Murder Case: Suspended OC Pradeep’s associate remanded again

A Cox's Bazar court yesterday placed suspended Teknaf OC Pradeep Kumar Das' associate constable Rubel Sharma on a five-day remand in a case filed over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.
Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox's Bazar granted the five-day remand prayer after senior assistant superintendent Mohamamd Khairul Alam, also the case's investigation officer, produced the accused before her court in the afternoon, seeking eight-day remand prayer for the second term.
On September 30, the accused constable was placed on a seven-day remand in connection with the murder case.
On August 6, Pradeep, inspector Liaqat Ali, and SI Nandadulal Rakhshit were each placed on 7-day remand by a Cox's Bazar court.
Liaqat, who shot Sinha dead, is the prime accused in the case.Major (retd) Sinha had been making travel documentaries for a YouTube channel. On July 31, he was returning to Cox's Bazar from Teknaf. His car was stopped at a police check point at Shaplapur on Marine Drive road where he was murdered.
