Shah Hassan Imam passes away
Dr Shah Hassan Imam, a retired general practitioner (GP) in Britain, breathed his last in Chorley, UK, on Sunday. He was 75, says a press release.
He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter, two grandchildren and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Shah Hassan Imam, younger brother of The Financial Express Editor Shah Husain Imam, was providentially saved from the massacre of Pakistan army in Gopalpur Sugar Mills, Rajshahi in 1971. He fled to India and helped freedom fighters medically.
He later settled in the UK and served as a GP.
