Road crashes kill three
Three people were killed in road accidents in three districts in the last two days, according to reports from our correspondents.
In Mymensingh, a motorcyclist was killed on the spot and his co-rider injured as a truck hit the motorbike on Phulbaria-Kishoreganj road in Kandur Bazar area of Phulbaria upazila yesterday.
The deceased -- Saiful Islam, 48 -- was a lecturer of the business management department at Kishoreganj Degree College.
Rusel Mia, 22, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Phulbaria, said Sheikh Kabirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Phulbaria Police Station.
Police seized the truck but the driver managed to flee.
In Jashore, a man was killed when a speeding bus rammed his cycle in Rajganj Bazar area of Monirampur upazila on Tuesday night.
Nur Islam, 55, from Monoharpur village in Monirampur, died on the spot.
In Chattogram, a motorcyclist died as a truck and the bike collided head-on in Chambal Bazar area of Banshkhali upazila the same night.
Anwar Hossain, 40, from Chambal area, died instantly, said police.
Police seized the truck but the driver managed to flee.
