Road accidents kill two
At least two persons were killed and 10 others sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Chattagram and Faridpur yesterday.
In Chattagram, seventh grader Rakib Hasan Imon, 12, was killed after a CNG-run auto rickshaw hit his bicycle on the way to school in Lohagara upazila, police said.
The accident injured the boy critically, said Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukdar of Chattogram Medical College Hospital Police Outpost, adding, he died on the way to the hospital.
Meanwhile in Faridpur, Tariqul Hossain, 25, was killed after a local bus driver lost control over the vehicle and plunged into the river in Alfadanga upazila, reports our correspondent.
The incident left 11 persons, including Tariqul seriously injured, locals said.
Witnesses rescued and rushed them to a local hospital where the on-duty doctors declared Tariqul dead.
