Rise High Bangladesh at RU, Ruet
Export idea contest Rise High Bangladesh came up with its third season at Rajshahi University (RU) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet) yesterday.
The campus activation programmes were held on both campuses simultaneously amid much enthusiasm and festivity like the past two years.
Students thronged the information booths to learn about the objectives, incentives and rules of participation in the contest.
RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY
Starting early morning, a large number of RU students thronged the booth, set up in front of Tukitaki Chattar, where volunteers explained the objectives.
A puzzle-solving game was arranged beside the booth, which attracted the biggest crowd. Participants were asked to pick a clue card, containing export information of an unnamed country, which they had to identify correctly. The winners were given token gifts.
One such winner, Rashed Ahmed, a student of history department, said, “It is a nice initiative to find out different export ideas which can help Bangladesh to rise high.”
RUET
Starting at 9:00am, the event, held before the university administrative building, continued till 3:00pm.
Students were seen discussing their export ideas. A puzzle-solving game similar to the one at RU drew a big crowd there too.
Rise High Bangladesh is an initiative of The Daily Star and Crown Cement to recognise and encourage youngsters to contribute to the country's progress by generating export ideas.
Students can complete registration online for the contest until October 5.
