Raheed Ejaz elected DCAB president, Nurul Islam secy

Raheed Ejaz, special correspondent of Prothom Alo, was elected president of Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) for the year 2019.

Nurul Islam Hasib, senior correspondent of bdnews24.com, was elected general secretary of the DCAB, said a press release of the DCAB.

DCAB Chief Election Commissioner M Shafiqul Karim announced the results after the annual general meeting held at Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka today.

Other members of the DCAB Executive Committee are: Vice President-AKM Moinuddin (UNB), Joint Secretary-Israt Jahan Urmi (DBC News), Treasurer -Mahadi Hasan Talukder (Kaler Kantho), Office Secretary-Abu Hena Emrul Kayesh (Bangla Vision), Angur Nahar Monty (News24), Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu (Jamuna TV), Sanaul Haq (ATN Bangla), Touhidur Rahman (banglanews24.com) and Md Khurram Zaman (Barta24).

Earlier, the DCAB annual meeting was presided over by outgoing President Rezaul Karim Lotus when General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu and Treasurer Mizanuir Rahman presented their annual reports, added the press release.
