Rafique Uddin passes away

Alhaj Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan, former president of Bangladesh Human  Rights Commission (Narayanganj district) and son of late Gul Baksh Bhuiyan, has passed  away on Monday. He was 67.

He was a past district governor of Lions Club International, and chairperson of  Bangladesh Lions Foundation and Sahitun Nesa Eye  Hospital.

He was also  managing director of Gawsia Jute Mills Ltd, and director  of Gawsia Cotton Spinning Mills Ltd and Ahmed Silk Mills Ltd.

He left behind his wife, three daughters, two sons-in-law and one  grandchild.

He was  buried at his family graveyard in Rupganj.
