Radwan Mujib shares moments of filming ‘Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale’
Radwan Mujib Siddiq, grandson of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has shared moments of filming 'Hasina: A Daughter's Tale', a documentary on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with students.
He said his idea was to bring forth vignettes of Sheikh Hasina as daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that are often lost under the weight of her role as the Prime Minister, reports BSS.
Radwan, a co-producer of the 70-minute film, shared the experiences in an interactive session with students after re-screening it at the auditorium of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Monday.
"It took me and Piplu bhai (director of the docudrama) five hours to have a conversation with my aunt (Sheikh Hasina). As she was putting my son to sleep, she was reluctant to join us to get filmed," said Radwan, also trustee of Centre for Research & Information (CRI).
That was the beginning of the journey of visual storytelling, spanning five years, culminating in the docudrama titled 'Hasina: A Daughter's Tale', he said.
Emphasizing the need for letting the young generation learn history, he said, "We need to understand how to communicate with younger generation."
He also referred to different projects such as Mujib Graphic Novel and Joy Bangla Concert that brings history closer to the youths in an interactive manner.
