Jubo League man Mohiuddin Murder
Prime accused sent to jail on surrender in Ctg
A Chittagong court yesterday sent an Awami League leader to jail in a case filed for the murder of Jubo League activist Mohiuddin Mohid.
The court passed the order after Hazi Iqbal had surrendered before it, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (prosecution) Nirmalendu Bikash Chawakrabarty of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP).
After the murder, Hazi Iqbal, the prime accused of the case, went into hiding.
Mohiuddin was hacked to death by a group allegedly led by Hazi Iqbal at Meher Afzol High School in Dakhshin Madham Halishahar on March 26.
Family members and fellows of Mohiuddin said he was loyal to Hazi Iqbal but later left Iqbal's group due to ideological conflict and his controversial activities that led to the killing.
