No party can breach our fortress: Ershad
Terming Rangpur region “a stronghold of Jatiya Party”, its chairman HM Ershad said that no other political party in the country can “breach the fortress”.
He was talking to local journalists yesterday while visiting construction work of his residence “Sky View” at Senpara area in Rangpur city.
Ershad, also a special envoy of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said he was still unsure whether BNP will take part in the upcoming national election, but his party will definitely join the election.
“My party is ready for the election,” he said. Jatiya Party has already decided to contest the election in all 300 constituencies.
Names of party nominees in 300 seats will be declared on October 20, said Ershad.
He, however, refused to comment on Jatiya Oikya Prokriya.
Ershad also denied to make any comment when asked if there is any chance of chaos during this upcoming election.
“There is no internal feud in Jatiya Party. We are united and our goal is to contest in all the 300 seats across the country in the upcoming general election,” he said.
