Nine killed, eleven injured in accidents
Nine persons died and eleven others were injured in separate accidents across the country in the last two days.
In Nilphamari, three persons died when a bus rammed a battery-run easy-bike on Nilphamari-Saidpur road yesterday at 6:15am, reports our correspondent.
The injured were identified as Mintu Hossain, 28; Aftab Hossain, 50, and Abdur Rahim, 45.
Easy-bike driver Mintu died on the spot, while its two passengers succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital in Saidpur, said police. The bus driver fled the scene.
In Bagerhat, two persons were killed and one was injured after a microbus and bus collided head-on at Nowapara in Khulna, our correspondent reports.
One died on the spot when the microbus fell into a ditch due to the collision, while another died on the way to a hospital. The injured is taking treatment at a local hospital. Identity of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.
In Sirajganj, two persons were killed and two others injured when a truck hit a three-wheeler in Nobogram area on Bogura-Nagarbari highway, police said.
The deceased were identified as Mohadeb Sarkar, 35, and Shahidul Islam, 38, said Dewan Kawshik Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Ullapara Police Station.

to his injuries at Sirajganj General Hospital, said OC Dewan, adding that the two injured were admitted to the hospital.
In Faridpur, one Nantu Biswas was killed and three others were injured in a road accident in Madhukhali upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway on Thursday, reports our correspondent.
MAN KILLED IN MAWA KAWRAKANDI ROUTE
A man was killed and five others were injured when a speedboat and trawler collided in the Padma river on Mawa-Kawrakandi route around 9:30pm on Thursday, reports our correspondent.
The deceased was identified as Mudar Sheikh, 25. He was on his way to Shibchar of Madaripur, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer Asaduzzaman.
Survivor Musfikur Rahman said the collision took place near Kawrakandi ghat when the speedboat, with 20 passengers, was coming from Mawa.
Following the collision, the injured were rushed to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex and then to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, said the UNO.
