Mugging on Chattala Express roof
Passengers commuting on the roof of Chattala Express were robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday.
Railway police said some robbers got on the roof of the Chattogram-bound train from Dhaka at Feni station and took money and other valuables from the rooftop passengers at around 8pm in Laksham.
Two passengers were injured in the incident. As the train reached Sitakunda station, railway police conducted a search inside the train and on the roof, said Sub-inspector Akbar Hossain, in-charge of Sitakunda Railway Police.
The SI said the robbers jumped off the train after the incident and no one was arrested. The injured were given primary treatment at a local health complex.
A case was filed in this connection with Laksham Railway Police Station.
