Dr Mozammel Khan, professor of mechanical and quality engineering at Sheridan Institute of Technology in Toronto, Canada, has been awarded the Outstanding Educator and Honorary Membership Awards by Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
According to a press release from OACETT, the awards are in recognition of Dr Khan's exceptional contribution to the training and education of engineering technicians and technologists. OACETT is giving the two awards simultaneously to one person for the first time.
Dr Khan graduated from Buet in 1972, and obtained his PhD from University of Illinois in 1979. He has been contributing to The Daily Star for over 20 years.
