To discuss the upcoming Bangladesh visit of Indian PM Narendra Modi, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran met Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at his office in New Delhi yesterday.
PM Modi is scheduled to attend the centenary celebration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman -- to be held in Dhaka on March 17 -- that will formally commence the "Mujib Borsho".
During the meeting, Jaishankar expressed his satisfaction at the excellent bilateral relations existing between the neighbouring countries.
Muhammad Imran conveyed Dhaka's appreciation for India's friendly gesture to evacuate several Bangladeshis stranded in China's Hubei province in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
The envoy assured Jaishankar of doing his best to take the countries' relationship to even greater heights during his tenure.
