Mock voting by EVM in Ctg-9 from today
Mock voting using electronic voting machines (EVM) will start today in Chattogram-9 constituency in the port city.
This is the only seat where votes will be cast on EVMs at all polling centres.
Munir Hossain Khan, Chattogram district election officer, told The Daily Star that the mock voting, assisted by Bangladesh Army, will be conducted at all 144 polling centres in the constituency.
Voting through EVMs will start at 9:00am today and end at 2:00pm. From tomorrow till December 27, it will begin at 10:00am and close at 4:00pm, he added.
“So far, we have received 288 EVMs to train people on how to cast vote using it,” Munir said.
