KU freshers' orientation held

The orientation ceremony for the newly admitted students of 2018-19 academic session of Khulna University was held yesterday.

On this occasion, KU arranged a daylong programme at Mukta mancha on the campus, including a cultural programme, by various organisation of the university.

Dr Atiur Rahman, former governor of Bangladesh Bank attended as the chief guest.

"I am optimistic that KU will one day become the Oxford or Cambridge University if it continues progressing,” Dr Atiur said.

Prof Dr Pran Gopal Datta, former vice-chancellor of BSMMU attended as a special guest while Prof Dr Mohammad Fayek Uz Zaman, vice-chancellor of KU was in chair.
