Khaleda receives dental treatment
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has received dental treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
She was taken to the hospital’s dental unit yesterday. She received treatment for around an hour, BSMMU Additional Director Nazmul Karim said.
Mahmuda Akhter, associate professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery, provided the treatment. Later, Khaleda was shifted back to her cabin amid tight security.
Khaleda Zia, admitted to BSMMU since April 1, has been undergoing treatment supervised by a medical board of experts.
At a press briefing, BSMMU Director Brig Gen Dr AK Mahbubul Hoque said they provided necessary treatment as the BNP chairperson was having trouble eating.
