Indian high commission to celebrate ITEC day

The High Commission of India in Dhaka will host a reception on March 16 to celebrate Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day.

The programme will be held at the main auditorium of Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) at Kakrail in the capital, said a press release.

Minister for Railways Md Nurul Islam Sujon will attend the programme as the chief guest while High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das would also be present on the occasion.

Over 3,800 Bangladeshis have undergone specialised short and medium term courses in India under the ITEC programme since 2007, the release added.
