A domestic help who tortured an elderly woman and fled with cash and valuables on Monday from her employer's house in the capital was arrested yesterday.
A team from DMP's Shahjahanpur Police Station along with local police arrested Rekha Akter from Ranisankail upazila in Thakurgaon, SI Rezaul Karim of Shahjahanpur Police Station, who led the drive, told The Daily Star.
Police also arrested her husband, Md Ershad, from the city's Basabo area in this connection, he added.
