High Court judge tests Covid-19 positive
A High Court judge has tested positive for Covid-19.
The judge tested Covid-19 positive on May 11 and is now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, a source close to the judge told The Daily Star today.
He was first admitted to Mugda General Hospital on May 13 and was then shifted to CMH after his condition deteriorated.
Contacted, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam told The Daily Star that he had also heard about the judge getting infected.
Mahbubey, however, could not provide any details.
The president on May 30, 2018 had appointed the judge and 17 others as additional judges of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court for two years.
