HC order on Khaleda's writ petition deferred
The High Court yesterday deferred the passing of an order on a writ petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, challenging the government's decision to send her back to jail from BSMMU, till Sunday.
The BNP chief submitted the writ petition on November 11 seeking an HC order on the government to send her to a specialised hospital.
The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil deferred the date after Khaleda's lawyers placed a supplementary petition, her lawyer Barrister Kayser Kamal said.
The lawyer, however, did not disclose the contents of the petition.
Khaleda was admitted to BSMMU on October 6 following an HC directive and later taken back to jail on November 8.
