HC may release full verdict on Nov 18
The High Court may release the full verdict of the Narayanganj seven-murder case on Sunday November 18.
Justice Bhabani Prasad Singha and Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam, who delivered the verdict in August 2017, have signed the 770 page judgment on Wednesday, Deputy Attorney General KM Zahid Sarwar Kazal said yesterday.
On August 22 last year, HC upheld death penalty of 15 persons including three former top Rab officials and expelled AL leader Nur Hossain, in the sensational Narayanganj seven-murder case.
The bench commuted the capital punishment of 11 others and upheld jail terms of nine others in the case.
Seven persons including then Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker were abducted on April 27, 2014.
Later, their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya river.
