Former CRAB president Lavlu no more
Chief reporter of daily Bhorer Kagoj and former president of Crime Reporters’ Association Bangladesh (CRAB) Akhtaruzzaman Lavlu breathed his last at the age of 52 yesterday.
He died of liver cancer while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Lavlu was put on life support on July 7.
CRAB general secretary Dipu Sarwar said Lavlu’s body would be kept at the BSMMU mortuary.
The body would be taken to his work place, Bhorer Kagoj office, at 11am today and his first namaz-e-janaza would be held there. His second janaza would be held at 12pm at Dhaka Reporters Unity and the third would be held at the Jatiya Press Club at 1:30pm.
He would be buried in Azimpur graveyard.
Lavlu was elected CRAB’s president six times.
