Old Dhaka factory fire doused; 2 hurt
Two workers were injured as a fire broke out at a factory in a three-storey building in Raisaheb Bazar area of Old Dhaka this morning.
Ershad Hossain, duty officer at the fire service and civil defence headquarters, said the fire broke out at the factory, used to manufacture nuts and bolts, on the ground floor of the building around 7:00am.
Four units of firefighters put out the blaze at 8:30am, he said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known yet as the factory was closed, he added.
