Fire breaks out in CMCH storeroom
A fire broke out in a storeroom of Chattogram Medical College Hospital yesterday morning.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit in the storeroom of the Department of Mental Disease on the ground floor around 5:30am, said Jashim Uddin, deputy director of Fire Service and Civil Defence, Chattogram.
Four firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 6:15am, said Jashim Uddin.
Valuables worth Tk 50,000 were gutted in the fire, said the official. However, no casualty was reported, he added.
