Fifth Model United Nations begins at JU

The fifth session of Model United Nations (MUN) conference began at Jahangirnagar University (JU) yesterday.

Over 300 delegates from Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cameroon and Gambia are participating at the four-day conference organised by JU United Nations Association (JUMUNA).

The conference focuses on discussions about challenges of Sustainable Development Goals, women empowerment, youth challenges, etc.

Dhaka UN Information Centre National Information Officer Md Moniruzzman, was present as the special guest while Prof Bashir Ahmed, director of JU Teachers-Students-Centre (TSC), and Prof Abdullahel Kafi also spoke at the opening session yesterday. 

President of JUMUNA Shukran Ul Haque Mahir chaired the programme.
