DU announces 2019 admission schedule
The online application process for admission into honours programmes in Dhaka University (DU) for the 2019-2020 academic session will begin on August 5, in a new format of admission tests.
This year, the admission tests will have 75 marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and 45 marks for a written exam. The MCQ section will be of 50 minutes while the written part will be 40 minutes, according to a press release of the university.
The decision was made at a meeting of DU’s committee on admissions into honours programmes held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building yesterday, the release read.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman chaired the meeting, while Pro-vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, chairmen of various departments, directors of various institutes, acting registrars, and the proctor were present among others.
The online application process for admissions will begin from 4pm on August 5 and continue till midnight of August 27, according to the press release.
The admission test for “Ka” unit will take place on September 20; “Kha” unit on September 21; “Ga” unit on September 13; and “Gha” unit on September 27.
Exams for “Cha” unit under Faculty of Fine Arts will be held in two parts -- general knowledge on September 14 and drawing on September 28, the release read.
