Dr Musa Brac International’s new executive director

Dr Muhammad Musa has been appointed the new executive director of Brac International with effect from May 1.
Prior to joining Brac Bangladesh as executive director in 2015, he worked for 32 years with CARE International as a senior international management professional.
He worked in Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, Tanzania, Thailand, India, Bangladesh and the Asian region, and served as the chief executive officer of CARE India.
Dr Musa obtained his master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, USA, and post graduate diploma from The Netherlands Universities Foundation for International Development. He completed his MBBS at Chittagong Medical College.
He succeeds Faruque Ahmed, who is retiring after a 17-year career at Brac and Brac International.
Brac International is Brac’s programme outside Bangladesh in 11 countries.
