Dhanmondi Murders: All 5 arrestees remanded
A Dhaka court yesterday placed five arrestees on five-day remand each in connection with the Dhanmondi double murder case.
The arrestees are: housemaid Surovi Akhter Nahida, security guard Md Nuruzzaman, caretaker Belayet Hossain, cleaner Gausul Azam Prince and Afroza’s son-in-law Kazi Monir Uddin’s body guard Atikul Haque Bachchu.
Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan passed the order, after DB Inspector Md Rabiul Alam, investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with 10-day remand prayer for each.
Surovi admitted her guilt to police why she along with others killed the victims, the IO said in the forwarding letter.
Afroza Begum, deputy managing director of Creative Group, and her domestic help Bithi, were found dead in a flat in Dhanmondi on Friday.
