Department of Law launches moot court room at AIUB

A “moot court room” of American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB) was inaugurated by lawmaker Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Monday for law department students, said a press release.

Moot courts are for law students to practice arguing on imaginary cases. The students and faculty members desired for the facility for a long time.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by lawmaker Nahim Razzak. The guests were accompanied by VC Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, Chairman of Board of Trustee Nadia Anwar, Founder Member Dr Hasanul A Hasan, and Founder Member Ishtiaque Abedin of AIUB.

Deans, associate deans, faculty members, officials, staff members and students of Department of Law were also present at the programme.

Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh was the chief guest of the event. He opined that the moot court room would be beneficial for the students to become successful lawyers.
