Abrar Murder: Decision on charge accepting Jan 21
A Dhaka court will decide on January 21 whether to accept the charges against 25 accused in connection with the killing of Buet student Abrar Fahad in October last year.
Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court set the date.
On January 13, the case was shifted to the court from Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.
Meanwhile, Morshed Amartya Islam, an accused in the case, surrendered before the court on Sunday. With him, 22 accused are now in jail.
On December 3, a Dhaka court ordered to confiscate property of four fugitives. The other fugitives are Morsheduzzaman Jishan, Mustafa Rafid and Ehtashamul Rabbi Tanim, all students of Buet.
On January 5, court asked police to publish ads in newspapers asking them to appear before it.
On November 18, it accepted charge sheet against the 25 accused and issued arrest warrant for the four.
