A case was filed with Cantonment Police Station by Dia's father Md Jahangir.
Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court recorded the statements of Md Rahat, Sajib Sheikh and Imon Chowdhury, who were injured in the accident. They were also cross-examined by the defense counsel.
In their statements, the students said, at 12:30pm they were waiting at the bus stop when two buses of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan were approaching recklessly. One of the buses ploughed into them injuring 15 students. Dia and Rajib, who were critically injured, died at Kurmitola General Hospital.
