Ctg court grants remands for three
A Chattogram court yesterday placed three accused on three-day remand each, in a case filed for killing a woman on Saturday night.
The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Al Imran passed the remand order after the three accused -- Nabi Hossain, Md Musa and Ahmed Kabir -- were produced before it, court sources said.
Earlier, police arrested two accused -- Md Musa and Ahmed Kabir.
Bubli Akhter, 28, was shot dead inside her Bakalia residence in the city allegedly by one Shah Alam, who reportedly had a longstanding rivalry with her relative Hasan, said police.
Five hours after the murder, Shah Alam was killed in a “gunfight with police” when the law enforcers conducted a raid to arrest him in Bakalia.
