Child Rights Awareness Concert on Friday
A “Child Rights Awareness Concert” will be held at Krishibid Institute Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital on Friday, aiming to raise voice against child abuse and protect the rights of children.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will be present in the concert as the chief guest, while Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Atiqul Islam will join the programme as a special guest.
Prominent singer Sabina Yasmin and vocalist Hassan Abidur Reja Jewel, among others, will perform in the concert.
The announcement was made in a press conference at a city hotel yesterday jointly organised by Distressed Children and Infants International (DCI) and Rights and Sight for Children (RSC).
Speaking at the press conference, Sabina Yasmin said she has been working with DCI for the last five years and praised the organisation is working for the benefit and rights of distressed children.
“Let us work for children. Everyone should come forward to protect the rights of children,” she said.
