Celebs on AL's campaign trail

A number of media personalities including Rokeya Prachy, Riaz, Ferdous and Mahfuz Ahmed conducted election campaign in favour of Awami League-led alliance candidates in Chattogram city yesterday.

Boarding a pickup, the celebrities began their campaign at 11:00am from Chattogram Press Club and visited different areas including New Market intersection, Chandgaon, Bahaddarhaat, GEC intersection, City Gate and Halishahar.

They distributed leaflets and chanted slogans for “boat”, AL's electoral symbol.

AL publicity secretary Hasan Mahmud, a party  aspirant for Chattogram-7 constituency, accompanied them.

The campaign truck gathered much curiosity and enthusiasm among locals. Many were seen gathering around the vehicle to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. Among other television and movie personalities, Mir Sabbir, Sweety, Tarin, Aruna Biswas and Shakil Khan were present.

After finishing the campaign in the port city in the afternoon, the celebrities campaigned for Hasan Mahmud in Rangunia upazila.
