BSS Managing Editor Shahriar passes away
Shahriar Shahid, managing editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), passed away in the capital's Apollo Hospitals yesterday. He was 55.
He left behind his wife, a son and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
Shahriar was the son of AKM Shahidul Haque, former editor of now-defunct Bangladesh Times.
He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday following a heart attack.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held after Zohr prayers tomorrow at the Jatiya Press Club.
Shahriar wrote over 30 books on interviews of gallantry award winning freedom fighters.
He also made documentaries and wrote region-based history of the Liberation War.
