Body of 14-yr-old recovered in Ctg
Police recovered two bodies from Agrabad and Halishahar areas in Chattogram during the last two days.
The body of a 14-year-old girl was recovered from Agrabad Commerce College area yesterday noon, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Faisal Sarwar of Double Mooring Police Station.
The body was spotted by children on the ground floor of a building opposite the female dormitory of the college, the SI said.
The body bore no marks of injury and the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately, police said, adding that it was sent to Chattogram Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile on Sunday, police recovered a burnt body of a man from an abandoned house at Khalpar in Foillatoli Bazar area.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) (Double Mooring Circle) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Ashikur Rahman said the man was set on fire after being murdered to hide his identity.
“We could not guess his age as the face has been totally distorted and the body was burnt around 90 percent,” he said.
The body had started decomposing as the murder took place a few days ago, said the police official.
Two cases were lodged in connection with the incidents with Halishahar and Double Mooring police stations.
