Bangladesh-India home minister talks start today
A 16-member Bangladesh delegation, led by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, left for New Delhi yesterday to attend the seventh Bangladesh-India home minister talks, according to a home ministry press release.
The delegation will stay there for three days. Different bilateral issues, including trans-border security, cross-border trafficking and border management issues, are expected to be discussed at the event, which will begin at 4pm today.
Asaduzzaman Khan and his Indian counterpart Amit Shah will lead their respective sides at the talks, according to home ministry officials.
The sixth round of home minister talks was held in Dhaka last year when former Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh led the Indian side.
