Arrest warrant for Tarique issued by Sylhet court

A Sylhet court yesterday issued an arrest warrant for BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman for defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Nazrul Islam issued the warrant following a case filed by Bangladesh Chhatra League's Sylhet district unit President Shahriar Alam Samad on December 24, 2014 following Tarique's derogatory remarks about Bangabandhu at a programme in London on December 15.
