AL working for rights of the poor: Mahbub Ali
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali yesterday said Awami League (AL) is working relentlessly to establish rights of the helpless and the poor.
“The present government is working with utmost sincerity to ensure all basic rights including education, healthcare and accommodation for people of all strata, especially the impoverished under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of a free medical camp at Daimuddin Orphanage and Hafizia Madrasa, under the arrangement of expatriate Bangladeshis at Bodordi village of Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj.
He urged all to help distressed people imbued with the moral values of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to build a “Sonar Bangla”.
The ceremony was also attended by lawmaker Majid Khan, former lawmaker Amatul Kibria Keya Chowdhury, chairman of Habiganj District Council Dr Mushfique Hussain Chowdhury, chairman of Nabiganj Upazila Fazlul Huq Chowdhury, Habiganj District’s Deputy Director (local government) Nurul Islam, and other local AL leaders.
